Car Rack and Spur Track

The main reason I built the CarBarn was so I can hold up to 48 cars and locomotives near the layout. Making setting up and running more convenient and eliminating the need to move the trains to and from the garage about 125 feet away. I also added a spur track into the car barn, so I can simply roll the car out on to the layout and stage cars at various industries before the run session.  

 

Keeping with the theme of the car barn being old train building, I wanted the car barn entrance to look rustic and weathered.  I built the barn entrance to reflect this and giving the barn some character. I also plan to add another spur in front of the car barn to simulate a train station for the future excursion train depot.
